Nyota started working for Pfizer in October 2003 as a Senior Analyst in the global market research team. Since this time, sheęs worked on a variety of projects, species, therapeutic areas and markets. Currently, she is responsible for market research for all early development products for swine, in-line swine products in the US and support for products in CLAR (Canada, Latin America Region). This role includes identifying market trends; uncovering unmet needs; measuring the performance of existing products and programs; project management; and the development of tools and analysis of data to gain further understanding of our customers, markets, products and programs. Ultimately, she creates actionable recommendations to improve current offerings and ensure that new products are developed to address customer needs.

During her assignment with the Access Project, Nyota will be developing management systems to collect data indicators for program monitoring and evaluation, train team members and business leaders in data collection and management of the systems and provide methods to analyze and use data effectively. Through this experience, Nyota hopes to improve her understanding of the health challenges effecting Rwanda, enhance her skills for working with teams from diverse backgrounds and leverage her existing skills to further improve the Access Project.

The Access Project in Rwanda works at the health center level to strengthen the public health systemęs ability to address the populationęs health needs, with a focus on improving care for HIV/AIDS, malaria, and TB.
